Urgent Swift Cooker Update
Resources Safety & Health Queensland have provided the following update in relation to the supply of Swift 500 Series Cookers.
New vehicles: Disconnected and capped.
From a Gas safety and Gas compliance perspective, Resources Safety & Health Queensland (RSHQ) believes it is acceptable for dealers and manufacturers of recreational vehicles to continue to supply vehicles with Swift 500 Series cookers installed where:
- The gas supply to the appliance is isolated, disconnected, and capped by the holder of a QLD gas work licence (GWL);
- A warning label stating “DO NOT USE” is attached to the appliance gas isolation valve; and
- A certificate is issued by the GWL advising that the Swift 500 Series cooker (serial No#........) has been disconnected and the gas supply pipe capped. The appliance is not to be reconnected until further notice.
